Defining the Columns

Remember that all of our software is made up of Prime Factors, which are usually the columns you see onscreen, and ‘background’ factors.  Background factors include additional factors that can eliminate horses who look to have no chance and pump up runners who appear most competitive. 

 

R = # of races the program evaluates for each horse.

LAST = number of days since last race.

M/L = official morning line.

TOT =total points horse earns from the columns to the right.

TOTEPOWER = Strength of Holloway’s Odds Pattern Predictor which relies on factors that show previous betting action, suspicious odds drop in most recent race, low odds in last race even though horse was at high odds in previous race, etc.  Points also awarded for meeting the ‘Odds Pattern/Dynamic Performance’ algorithm.

SPDSPIRIT = Recent speed ratings compiled combined with the ‘try’ factor, where horse steadily tries to gain better position from mid point in race to end of race.

TCOMP = Points awarded for trainer’s overall win%.

CONSYS = Points awarded for in the money consistency over the past 24 months.

JCOMP = Points awarded for jockey overall win% + previous good record over today’s track.
