😎Len tells us: ‘There is nothing I like more than consistency, since I bet heavily, especially to place and show, on horses my database show have a 40%+ chance to win, a 60%+ chance of running at least 2nd and an 80% +of running at least 3rd.  👉And in every database study I have ever done, hands down, sprint races are the likeliest to produce those numbers.

You get the idea.  But let’s let the NUMBERS do the talking:

 

The Database Results from a 30-Day Period at several different tracks.  The 1.5 distance under the FUR (Furlongs) Column represents a quarter horse race.  Look at the number of double-digit winners – in red outlined rectangle (you have to add $2 to each of these amounts since the WIN column reflects just the profit on each bet, less the $2 wagering amount we use in the database study, so a $33.80 win price would actually be $35,80 at the track).  NOTE: There is another page and 1/2 of results that would begin after the $4.20 price (actually $6.20) on the second page below which lists winners all the way down to $2.40 – we didn’t include them here to save space.  The overall win rate was 37.68% – on Quarter Horses only the win % was 43.45%.

 

Below you will see the overall profit results for the various distances.  The first chart shows us that the Quarter Horse study, represented by the 1.5 next to furlongs, produced a very nice 49.76 positive ROI with a a 43.45 win rate.  These numbers have remained consistent in further studies.

Here you see the 4.5 and 5.0 furlong distances.  The 4.5 distance, which isn’t run that often other than at Los Alamitos, produced a solid Hit rate but a small loss overall.  The high win rate suggests that you should use horses at this distance both as ‘singles’ and ‘keys’ in your exotics.  The 5 Furlong distance, dirt and turf combined, produced the best overall profit of all the distances at 56.18%.

 

Hit rates and profits tailed off some at 5.5 and 6.0 furlongs (dirt and turf combined), but the overall ROIs were still significant. 

>>>>Interestingly, Quarter-Backer does pick a decent % of winners at 6.5 furlongs and beyond, though, and at two of those distances profits were produced.  At 8 Furlongs the win ROI was +9.74% and at 9 Furlongs the win ROI was +41.56%, again this is for turf and dirt combined at these distances.

An Inside Look at How Quarter-Backer was Created

Len’s mind works overtime when it comes to creating successful handicapping systems and software. 

Since he has database information on literally hundreds of systems, he can query his database about form, speed, turn time, final time, consistency, trainer stats, jockey stats, etc., etc., etc.  There are hundreds of questions he can ask and the database will respond with an answer.
